Loved the Wakey.... 2 Little Boys and sweet caroline and playing football in the street last game of the season... and obviously the attack on the Alamo !! Great days...

Green Man in Plashet Grove was a loss a while back. Not always the best pub in the world, but handy parking, outdoor grub in the summer, and had the ability to be spectacular occasionally (anyone else remember it basically becoming an outdoor can pub on Millwall Sunday?)

Outside the Wakefield, after the last game of the season in about 2008. A car drove past slowly with three locals in it, roof down, music blaring.
They stopped (or were stopped) bang outside the front and one their number then made the pretty huge error of spitting at a WHU fan (can't recall why).
Cue an absolute deluge of half empty beer cans being lobbed at the car.
I think they slightly regretted doing it.

This pub was always going to go. Not even sure it was because of the move. Both It and the Black Lion could never survive together much longer..
Planning permission applied for nearly a year ago:
Demolition of Victoria Tavern Public House, erection of new 4 storey residential development consisting of 8 units (1x 1 bed, 3 x 2 bed and 2 x 3 bed flats (1 being a duplex) and 1 x 2 bed townhouse and 1 x 3 bed townhouse) with provisions for 16 secure cycle spaces and refuse/ recycling facilities.

.. and I hear the Railway Tavern in Stratford has been sold to become a large(r) hotel. The old building is to stay but whether it remains a pub as it is now or just a hotel bar is yet to be seen.
